Nokia C7, "Nokia N8" versi Murah

Nokia C7 akan menjadi produk alternatif N8. Karena relatif lebih murah, kemungkinan C7 akan diproduksi secara masif. Murah tak berarti murahan. Tak kalah dengan N8, ia juga menjalankan Symbian^3 pada layar sentuh resolusi nHD. Selain itu, terdapat kamera berkemampuan 8MP yang dilengkapi dengan dual-LED flash. Belum tahu apakah ia juga bisa perekam video.

Untuk konektivitas data, Nokia C7 memiliki port microUSB, tapi tidak mempunyai microHDMI seperti Nokia N8. Terdapat pula audio jack 3,5mm yang ukurannya sama dengan headset pada umumnya. Untuk kemampuan baterainya, Nokia cukup membatasi kapasitasnya sampai 1200mAh saja. Sementara untuk akses data, C7 menawarkan akses 3G HSDPA 3,6Mbps, lengkap dengan Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP dan memori internal 8GB.

Perbedaan mendasar yang terlihat, Nokia C7 memiliki tombol Call dan End pada bagian depan, di bawah layar TFT resistif sebesar 3,5 inci tepatnya. Sementara N8 tidak punya.

Rumornya, ponsel layar sentuh ini akan dibanderol dengan harga sekitar 300 euro, atau setara Rp3,4 juta per unitnya. Jika benar, selisihnya cukup jauh dengan Nokia N8 yang dipatok dengan kisaran harga 4,2 juta.

BPOM: Waspada, 46 Obat Tradisional Berbahaya

VIVAnews - Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan RI (BPOM) mengeluarkan peringatan kepada masyarakat untuk mewaspadai obat tradisional yang beredar di Indonesia. BPOM mengeluarkan daftar berisi 46 obat tradisional yang mengandung bahan kimia.

Kepala BPOM RI Kustantinah menjelaskan kini telah terjadi pergeseran tren jenis Obat Tradisional Berbahan Kimia Obat (OT-BKO). Jika pada kurun waktu 2001-2007 trend OT-BKO berbentuk obat rematik dan penghilang rasa sakit, maka sejak 2007 hingga kini menjadi obat pelangsing dan penambah stamina.

"Perubahan tren ini diakibatkan permintaan konsumen," ujar Kepala BPOM Kustantinah kepada wartawan di Jakarta, Kamis, 13 Agustus 2010.

Menurut Kustantinah, BPOM menemukan 46 obat tradisional yang mengandung bahan kimia berbahaya. Di dalam obat tradisional mengandung bahan kimia di luar takaran yang sudah ditentukan.

"Bahan kimia tersebut seperti sildenafil sitrat dan parasetamol yang berlebihan dapat menyebabkan kerusakan hati," jelasnya.

BPOM telah melakukan langkah preventif dengan menarik semua peredaran OT-BKO di pasaran. Jika produsen membandel, maka BPOM akan melaksanakan langkah hukum untuk memberikan efek jera.

"Selama 2009 BPOM telah melaporkan 474 kasus terkait makanan dan obat-obatan namun sanksinya masih rendah, maksimal denda selama ini hanya Rp1,5 juta. Kita harapkan kedepannya terdapat persepsi yang sama diantara para penegak hukum," jelasnya.

Kustantinah menghimbau kepada masyarakat untuk memberikan informasi bila menemukan produk tersebut dengan menghubungi Unit Layanan Pengaduang Konsumen BPOM RI atau Balai Besar/BPOM seluruh Indonesia.

Keputusan Puteri Indonesia 2009, Qory Sandioriva tidak tampil topless disampaikan Head of Communication Department Yayasan Puteri Indonesia Mega Angkasa. Menurut Mega, finalis Miss Universe asal Indonesia tidak akan melakukan aktivitas sensasional selama mengikuti ajang tersebut.

“Aksi ‘topless’ tidak masuk dalam daftar penilaian Miss Universe 2010. Itu mungkin dilakukan para finalis lain yang ingin mencari sensasi,” tutur Mega Angkasa yang dihubungi okezone melalui telepon selulernya, Kamis (12/8/2010).

Menurut pria ramah ini, kompetisi di ajang Miss Universe memang sangat ketat, sehingga tidak menutup peluang bagi para finalis untuk mencuri perhatian masyarakat dunia dengan melakukan berbagai macam cara.

“Sebelum bertolak ke Las Vegas, kami selalu mengingatkan kepada Qory agar berkompetisi secara sehat selama mengikuti pemilihan Miss Universe. Tidak terkecuali, Qory tidak boleh melakukan aktivitas yang tidak terpuji dan hanya mencari sensasi belaka,” kata Mega.

The very idea of mobile Web browsing on small touchscreens is so new that we're far from seeing perfection; even the desktop Internet is loaded with annoyances, and it's been around for decades. Until we live in a perfect world, here are 11 mobile Web annoyances, and how to work around, cope with, ignore, or fix them.

Lame Mobile Sites

ESPN's mobile site.Mobile phone users aren't primitive. Our devices may be tiny, but that doesn't mean we seek a lesser experience from the Internet. So why do some Websites exclude or bury features that are found on their PC counterparts? Hey ESPN, just because I'm visiting you on my iPhone's mobile Web browser doesn't mean I don't want to read page 2, get personalized headlines, or even see story photos. Annoyance within annoyance: the standard mobile site for every blog that uses Wordpress. No photos, comment counts, or full stories from the home page? No thanks.

The Fix: The first option is to check the bottom of whatever page you're on. If you're lucky, you'll see an option to switch to the full Website. Otherwise, browse as if you were on your desktop: On the iPhone, Atomic Web Browser lets you identify the browser as Firefox, Internet Explorer, or desktop Safari, and the Dolphin browser on Android lets you identify as a desktop as well. Sometimes I wonder how many people avoid buying things or signing up for services because they hate filling out forms. On the cramped keyboards of mobile phones, it's even worse, especially when mobile browsers don't fill out information automatically.

The Fix: On the iPhone, mobile Safari actually does have a form auto-fill feature, but it's disabled by default. Head into the "Safari" section of your settings, then turn it on. Otherwise, revert to the first fix and hit the link again. Alternatively, e-mail the story link to yourself for later reading on a PC.
Redirect Hell, Part 2

So you've passed through a mobile Website redirect unscathed, your link intact. Good luck returning, via the back button, to the site you were previously viewing. Mobile Web page redirects have a nasty habit of sending you forward every time you hit the back button. Granted that my conclusion is a conspiracy theory, but I say it's all part of the Website's plan to trap you forever.

The Fix: Option number one is to use brute force. Keep pounding that back button until you're back to safety. Failing that, you can go into the browser's history to find the previous page.

Accidental Tapping

The harsh reality of touch screens is that the actions of clicking and scrolling require contact from a finger. You're bound to mess up on occasion, clicking a link when you meant to drag, and vice versa.

The Fix: Not a fix, per se, but you can train yourself to avoid accidental tapping by always laying down a finger with a slight bit of motion, so it's not registered as a click instead. And try to tend more toward long, deliberate scrolling instead of quick flicks, which could register as taps.

Segar & Fit di Bulan Puasa

INGIN tetap segar dan fit saat menjalankan ibadah puasa di bulan Ramadan? Yang terpenting harus dijalankan adalah mengonsumsi jenis makanan yang bergizi dan dengan pengolahan yang tepat.

Bulan puasa, bulan penuh berkah dan ampunan sudah di depan mata. Menjaga tubuh agar selalu sehat dan bugar ketika menjalankan puasa Ramadan akan memberikan kesempatan untuk meraih pahala sebanyak-banyaknya dan bila tiba Hari Idul Fitri kita akan kembali suci dan terbebas dari segala dosa. Apalagi, puasa juga terbukti memberi manfaat yang baik bagi kesehatan.

Dengan berpuasa, organ tubuh diberi kesempatan beristirahat. Pada saat organ beristirahat, sel dan jaringan tubuh melakukan regenerasi sehingga sel tubuh terus mengalami pembaharuan dan sel dalam jaringan tubuh yang terus mengalami pembaharuan menjadikan tubuh selalu segar dan bugar.

Namun, perubahan jadwal makan yang tiba-tiba pastinya akan membuat proses metabolisme tubuh juga berubah sehingga perlu penyesuaian di awal-awal bulan puasa. Normalnya, konsumsi makanan atau minuman menjadi bekal energi bagi tubuh selama kurang lebih lima sampai tujuh jam. Wajar saja apabila saat menjalankan ibadah puasa, tubuh biasanya loyo, tidak bersemangat, dan wajah tampak kusut akibat kelelahan beraktivitas. Padahal, di bulan puasa aktivitas kehidupan dan pekerjaan sehari-hari tidak mungkin ditinggalkan. Karena itu, kita perlu upaya ekstra untuk menjaga tubuh tetap segar, fit, dan kuat sepanjang hari di bulan suci ini.

Menurut ahli gizi dari Klinik Hang Lekiu Medical Center, dr Inayah Budiasti MS SpGK, agar tubuh tetap segar sepanjang berpuasa sehingga dapat beraktivitas dengan lancar perlu diperhatikan pengaturan pola makan yang sehat saat sahur. Artinya, kita harus memilih jenis dan proses pengolahan bahan makanan yang baik bagi tubuh.

”Jangan makan gorengan atau yang berasa asam, pedas, dan makanan bersantan,” katanya.

Jenis makanan yang digoreng memerlukan proses pengolahan di usus yang lebih lama. Padahal, cairan di dalam tubuh sangat minim. Seperti diketahui, setiap makanan yang masuk mengalami metabolisme menggunakan cairan dalam tubuh.

Yang terjadi, lanjut dia, cairan tubuh semakin habis dan membuat badan lemas dan lesu. Memang, pada saat berpuasa bahan makanan penghasil energi utama seperti karbohidrat, lemak, vitamin, mineral, dan protein yang masuk ke tubuh kita tidak sebanyak hari biasa.

Jangan lupa selalu mengonsumsi makanan bergizi, baik pada saat sahur maupun berbuka puasa. Walau menu sederhana, yang harus diperhatikan adalah hidangan itu mengandung lima unsur gizi lengkap seperti protein, lemak, karbohidrat, vitamin, dan mineral. ”Yang dianjurkan adalah konsumsi sayur bayam, sup ayam, pokoknya yang berserat dan berkuah,” tandas Inayah.

Inayah mengungkapkan, makanan berserat yang banyak terdapat dalam sayur dan buah mampu menahan rasa lapar. Tubuh kita memerlukan waktu lebih lama untuk mencerna makanan yang banyak mengandung serat. ”Buah-buahan juga sebaiknya beraneka ragam, sekitar tiga sampai empat jenis,” terangnya.

Untuk porsinya, ujar dia, pilih yang sedang. Jangan sampai karena takut kelaparan, pada saat sahur Anda mengonsumsi makanan yang berlebihan. Yang harus diingat bukan jumlah takaran, tetapi proses pengolahan dan gizi makanan yang masuk ke dalam tubuh agar badan tetap fit sepanjang hari saat puasa.

Selain memperbanyak makanan berserat dan makanan yang mengandung protein, kata Inayah, sebaiknya Anda juga menyediakan jenis makanan yang mengandung vitamin dan mineral serta makanan tambahan agar tubuh tetap segar bugar sepanjang hari. Vitamin yang penting dikonsumsi setiap hari adalah vitamin A, B, dan C. Tapi kalau Anda sudah makan buah berwarna kuning atau merah, sayur berwarna hijau tua, kacang-kacangan, maka tak perlu khawatir kekurangan vitamin tersebut.

Untuk mencegah dehidrasi tubuh di siang hari, Anda juga dianjurkan banyak minum air putih pada malam hari yang dimulai sehabis buka. Hal ini berguna untuk mencukupi kebutuhan cairan pada tubuh karena tubuh membutuhkan delapan gelas sehari. Apalagi, pada siang hari aktivitas kita cenderung banyak mengeluarkan keringat baik, di ruangan terbuka maupun ber-AC.

Bagi penderita sakit lambung, makanan yang sebaiknya dihindari adalah ketan, mi, daging berlemak, ikan dan daging yang diawetkan, sayuran mentah, sayuran berserat, minuman yang mengandung soda, dan bumbu yang tajam (cuka, cabai, asam). Jenis makanan tersebut bisa menimbulkan gas yang berpengaruh meningkatkan produksi asam lambung.

Bagi mereka yang memiliki berat badan melebihi ideal, sebaiknya selama berpuasa pun tetap menghindari makanan yang tinggi kolesterol, misalnya lemak hewan, margarin, mentega. Selain itu, sebaiknya Anda menghindari makanan yang manis-manis, seperti dodol, sirup, cokelat, kue tar, dan es krim. Selain lebih banyak mengonsumsi sayur, buah, dan daging tanpa lemak, pengolahan makanannya pun sebaiknya jangan digoreng.

Sementara mereka yang terlalu kurus, selama berpuasa sebaiknya menambah porsi susu dan menghindari makanan yang sulit dicerna, seperti sayuran berserat kasar (daun singkong, daun pepaya). Mereka yang berusia lanjut, aturlah pola makan saat berbuka puasa juga secara bertahap. Makanlah jumlah yang lebih sedikit, namun dilakukan beberapa kali.

Walaupun tubuh terasa loyo ketika berpuasa, Anda juga disarankan tidak malas berolahraga karena dengan berolahraga tubuh menjadi lebih fit. Memang ketika puasa ada perubahan waktu, misalnya intensitas olahraga sebelum puasa dilakukan tiga sampai empat kali seminggu, tapi di bulan puasa cukup dengan dua sampai tiga kali.

Waktu yang paling baik untuk olahraga, yakni menjelang berbuka. Karena setelah tubuh mengeluarkan keringat, tubuh kembali mendapat asupan berupa minuman atau makanan. Bagi yang tidak terbiasa melakukan olahraga, pada tahap awal penyesuaian sebaiknya melakukan olahraga ringan, seperti jalan kaki. Jangan terlalu memaksa untuk olahraga yang lebih berat, seperti aerobik atau lari karena kebugaran tidak bisa didapatkan secara instan. Akan lebih baik menambah porsi latihan secara bertahap.
