Skype Now Available On Verizon Multimedia Phones

As of this morning, Skype is not only available on a variety of smartphones like the Android and BlackBerry, but also on Verizon's multimedia phones like the LG enV Touch, LG Chocolate Touch and Samsung Reality, all on the BREW platform

Skype is undoubtedly one of the best applications for users to make free Skype-to-Skype calls or very cheap calls to non-Skype landlines and mobiles. It's a great way for students going off to college this fall or traveling abroad to stay in touch with their parents and friends. While Skype to non-Skype calls do eat up Verizon minutes, the real deal is for users needing to call international mobile numbers. With Skype, you can make unlimited international calls to landlines on the cheap. For example, unlimited calls to Mexico City will cost you only $6.99 a month.

The mobile app works the same way it does on Verizon's smartphones and it runs in the background, so you'll never miss a call. Just text SKYPE to 2255 to download the mobile app on Verizon's LG enV TOUCH, LG Chocolate Touch or Samsung Reality.
